Hi,
to reduce licensing costs in some almost unloaded systems (cpu usage medium 5-10%), we
are considering to remove 1 CPU. The servers involved are some BL460G7 with 2 CPU, we
would like to remove 1 CPU and the RAM assigned to it.
Is it necessary to add some additional components or can we just remove ram and cpu?
Thank you in advance,
best regards

Also, If you don't know. You will lose the connection to Mexzzanine 2. You did not say your blade configuration, so may not apply.

Louis

Re: CPU Removal on HP BL460 G7
Torsten,
You are correct, Sir!!
I've been spending too much time on our Gen 8 servers, here.

Louis
