Hardware selection
Dear All,
I am designing a c class blade system for our new DC. My requirement is as below:
- high performance i/o needed for DB (shared storage)
- high performance blade for DB with h/w redeundancy
- Mid performance blade for application with h/w redundancy
- low performance storage for archiving
- expansion slots for future requirements of DB and App.
- exteranl connectivity to go out on internet and internal network.
I need your help to understand following:
- what is the ideal design for the solution I need?
- do I need any switch module for f/c or ethernet based network connectivity?
- is it good idea to use the same c class blade system for high performance i/o need to store DB?
Thank you all in advance.

Re: Hardware selection
- do I need any switch module for f/c or ethernet based network connectivity? YES, probably for both if you will have FC storage.
- is it good idea to use the same c class blade system for high performance i/o need to store DB? -- Don't you need high IO for db? Same as what?
