Is there any alert raised because one LOM port has no internet connection?
Peng asked:

Simple question but I have no server/enclosure with us ……
You know, 2 LOM ports of BL460cG7 are mapped to adjacent interconnect bays.
If I just insert one Gbe2c L2/3 switch and leave the other bay blank,
is there any alert raised, for example, OA alert or IMA alert, because one LOM port has no internet connection?
I know this scenario is normal but I also know when using VC Flex10/FlexFabric,
if you assign one FlexNIC with no bandwidth, there will have “port down interface” alert raised.
Thus, please let me make a confirmation.

If one interconnect is left blank, the server would detect NIC failure (if interconnect 2 is left blank, NIC2 would be shown is failed/down). This will cause the hardware alert to be sent by PSP to the SIM/ICE.

Any or comments or suggestions?
