Need advice on steps to upgrade Blade c7000 server
Hi All,
I have a Blade c7000 enclosure consisting of 6 servers which I have listed below. would like to know the best way to upgrade all of their firmware.
Bay 1 – Proliant BL460c G1
Bay 2 – Proliant BL460c G1
Bay 5 – Proliant BL460c G1
Bay 6 – Proliant BL460c G1
Bay 7 – Proliant BL680c G5
Bay 8 – Proliant BL680c G5

The Service Pack for ProLiant (HP SPP) is way to upgrade the firmware components of the Blade server and the c-Class enclosure and all interconnects. The following links provides the download page :

Use the lasted Service Pack for Proliant feb2o14
Important is the following order:
1. Update all servers first via the SPP
2. Update Onboard Administrator
3. Update Virtual Connect
Windows servers, use the spp iso online. run fron windows hpsum. this way the firmware, driver and agents are installed at once.
ESX Servers, use de SPP iso offline, boot from it. it only installed firmware
for recommendations of vmware see http://vibsdepot.hp.com/
