bl460g5: HDD`s both LED flashing green

We have a c3000 blade chassis, and installed bl460 g5 blades. On one of the blades have broken both HDDs (one died and the other is in a state of "predictive failure"). HDDs have been replaced.

However, on both new HDDs both LED - flashing green. Why?

In acucli everything looks good:

Re: bl460g5: HDD`s both LED flashing green

Both drives are a part of the logical drive which shows to have RAID 1 redundancy.

Likely the flashing green is showing the activity that occurs when the data is balancing between the two drives.

The drives blink green when they are being accessed for read/write, and also when idle from data transfers the Smart Array controller starts performing a surface scan looking for defects on the disks

Re: bl460g5: HDD`s both LED flashing green

I think you misunderstood me ...
The disc has two LEDs. According to this document:

http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c01735745&lang=en&cc=us&taskId=101&prodSeriesId=3808910

One LED can lights green. The second LED can lights amber or blue.

But the newly-installed HDD, both LEDs flash green.

Why?
