Re: Can I assign my d2200sb to both blade server?
No, with the D220sb the enclosure backplane provides a PCI Express connectionwith the adjacent c-Class server blade it is installed next to. If you need a shared storage solution you need to look at the HP P4000 Virtual SAN Appliance Software (VSA) to turn the D2200sb into an iSCSI SAN for use by all severs in the enclosure and any server on the network or the HP X3800sb G2 Network Storage Gateway Blade.
If you're doing Windows clustering the HP X3800sb is probably the solution you need to look at

Re: Can I assign my d2200sb to both blade server?
How does the X3800sb G2 work? Can it serve the disks of the D2200sb directly to the Proliant blades (BL460c) or does it have to serve it as iSCSI?
For instance, if I had 1 D2200sb and 3 BL460c, could I use a X3800sb G2 to serve those disks within the D2200sb to the BL460? Would I have to do that via the Windows 2008 Storage Server iSCSI or can I do that directly through the backplane?
Thank you very much,
Hugo.

Read the overview and Q&A section here, this explains how the X3800 sb functions
