Deploying an Oracle 11gR2 Real Application Cluster (RAC) database with HP Virtual Connect FlexFabric
Some info on a whitepaper from Kevin:
*******************
Deploying an Oracle 11gR2 Real Application Cluster (RAC) database with HP Virtual Connect FlexFabric
- Using HP Virtual Connect FlexFabric and Flex-10 with Oracle RAC provides customer savings in several key areas. This solution provides an illustration of how to introduce, install and configure an Oracle 11gR2 RAC database cluster with HP ProLiant server blades and HP Virtual Connect (VC) FlexFabric. HP Virtual Connect (VC) FlexFabric is a key component of the HP Converged Infrastructure strategy. The focus is on the steps necessary to configure the VC FlexFabric modules using Oracle 11gR2 RAC based on our test and validation environment.
- HP Virtual Connect FlexFabric and Flex-10 provide customer savings in several key areas
- Lower cost with less equipment to purchase
- Less equipment means reduced power consumption (lower power bills)
- Better efficiency by managing and controlling bandwidth to match your application requirements
- More efficient usage of LAN and SAN administrators’ time since the system administrator is now more self-sufficient.

Download the whitepaper and see how HP is working with Oracle.RAC and clustering.
