Stack a new C7000 VC FlexFabric-20/40 F8 with my current one

Hi guys,

I'm wondering if I can stack a new C7000 with VC FlexFabric-20/40 F8 with my current one (which also has VC FlexFabric-20/40 F8 modules) without disrupting traffic flow on my current blades? Or will I need downtime?

Bgrds,

FOG

Re: Stack a new C7000 VC FlexFabric-20/40 F8 with my current one

Hi FOG,

When two or more enclosures are stacked together, then remote enclosure's domain configuratiion will be erased.

What is a base enclosure? - Well, the first Virtual Connect domain created on the first enclosure will become the Base Enclosure.

This will need planning and downtime for all the enclosures that are being stacked. For more information on stacking and scenarios, you refer to the Virtual Connect Multi-Enclosure Stacking Reference Guide. Refer section "Virtual Connect Domain Stack Planning" on page 4 of the current document.

You may also refer to the HP Virtual Connect FlexFabric Cookbook – With HP Virtual Connect Flex-20/40 F8 for scenarios.

Hope this helps!!
