Unable to ping from ESXI 4.1 host to other servers outside Virtual connect

Hi All,

We just made the plunge to Virtual Connect and we've been falling over hurdles along the way.  Our current setup is:

5 bl460c g7 blades mapped to bays 1 and 2 which are flex connect modules.  We have the first 4 ports per modules in those bays connect to redundant fiber channel switchs (cisco 9148).  We also have three other ports per module dedicated to flex 10 which connects through a special SFP to h3c 5820 redundant 10Gb switches. 

All of our hosts have the latest ESXI hypervisor.  Our current problem is that we can't ping from the hypervisor management console outside the virtual connect network.  We can ping other hosts that are also in virtual connect but not past that point.  We can't even ping the h3c switches. 

We tried setting the hosts up with DHCP and also with a different vlan but we are unable to network outside virtual connect.

Can I get some troubleshooting ideas please?

Make sure you have the latest NC553i NIC firmware for the G7 LOMs.
