Troubleshooting VM connection between HP Blade Servers in VMware ESXi
Hi Folks,
Can anyone please shed some light here on the VM communication between HP Blades within the single c7000 enclosure ?
Problem:
Exchange Server 2007 mailbox role - PRODMBX01-VM lose connection intermittently / randomly to the Quorum to the Exchange Server 2007 HubTransport server - PRODHT01-VM, both servers are within the same VLAN and IP address class but running on different HP Blades BL 460c G8 within the same Blade c7000 enclosure.
When I do Tracert between the two VMs, the result is just went straight through to the destination server (one single line reply) so no other network device in between the Tracert result.
Does the communication between those VM on different HP Blades goes out to the Trunk network to the core DataCenter Cisco Nexus 7000 Switch ? or just re-routed between the Virtual Connect module ?
is there any way to look for the connection issue ? maybe in the HP Virtual Connect log ?
