VMware ESXi 4.x and 5.x on SD Cards?
Fredy had a question on installing the VMware image.

Are there any specific documents on installing ESXi on the new BL460 G7’s (SD Card slots)?
I have not yet done that and I am wondering if the SD card is seen on power up and it is as simple as selecting it for the OS install….
Thanks,

Yes it's that simple.
I taught a short class on it at HP Discover 2011.
There are 2 spots in the BIOS that deal with USB/SD boot options.
One under normal IPL and one under System Options.
IPL "USB Drivekey" = all USB boot devices including SD.
Then under System Options you can set a sub order between USB and SD
