Brocade 4/12 Switch Password does not match
The default IP-Adress is 10.0.10.91 and not as described in the manual 10.77.77.77. Is there a way to reset the switch for default values???

Re: Brocade 4/12 Switch Password does not match
1) Send the switch to the service center
2) Hack it. :).
Open the switch and find the CF-flash there. Carefully unplug it from the switch's mainboard. Find somewhere computer with linux installed and with cf-reader. Plug the CF to the cf-reader, do full back-up of the CF (dd is good and simple idea), mount CF filesystem, find there /etc/passwd, edit it by hands (vi, joe, etc), umount filesystem, plug the CF to switch back and try to login.
But remember - it's a totally unsupported hack, and if anyone from hp asks you, never tell him that you did it ;). Good luck.

Re: Brocade 4/12 Switch Password does not match
Thanks for this hack
The easiest way is to copy the /etc/passwd.default to the /etc/passwd file and the /etc/shadow.default to /etc/shadow
