HP Discover Performance ebook preps CIOs for 2013

Alec_Wagner on ‎01-15-2013 12:22 PM

To kick off 2013, we’ve rolled up some of the best articles from the past year, from our newsletter and blog, to create an ebook focused on the innovative techniques and technologies that IT leaders must master in this high-performance era, from leading through change to DevOps.

Entrepreneur, former CTO, and writer/researcher Gene Kim’s introduction to “Leadership: CIO challenges for 2013 and beyond” makes it abundantly clear that IT leadership in 2013 and beyond will demand faster, more innovative ways to deliver real business value. To get there, CIOs will need to learn new leadership styles that can foster a true change in culture.

The ebook also features a popular series of articles by Joshua Brusse (Chief Architect, Asia Pacific and Japan, HP Software Professional Services) repackaged into a single, comprehensive introduction to leading through change management. In “Secrets of change management,” Brusse reveals the three fundamental elements for change management, as well as the eight core elements for leading through change.

Also of note: an interview with Mark Potts, HP Fellow and CTO of corporate strategy, prepares leaders for a “borderless” IT world. Other must-read stories include a look at transformative technologies and processes such as Hadoop and DevOps; at new perspectives (a holistic approach to enterprise security); and at the value of management tools.

The “Leadership: CIO challenges for 2013 and beyond” ebook is available now (free with registration).
