Mobility presents a significant opportunity for enterprise IT to deliver more value to the business through solutions, data, and applications, but it also introduces much greater complexity. You need forward-looking strategies and specialized tools and skills to develop enterprise mobile apps that support BYOD and the expectations of your users—while properly managing and securing the data.

To bring you some great ideas on using mobility to transform your business, we’ve gathered links to videos of eight sessions HP presented at Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona. Check them out:

  1. HP Mobility Perspective, presented by Alberto Torres, Senior VP, Pan-HP Mobility. This overview outlines why enterprise mobility is critical for business success and the challenges that mobility presents for enterprise IT.
  2. HP Software Mobility Strategy, presented by Bernd Schlotter, Senior VP and General Manager, Application Delivery Management, HP. Your intellectual property and your data are walking around with your employees all over the world. Mobility provides a huge business opportunity but also the potential for liability and complexity. Key features for enterprise mobile apps are high quality, high velocity, and high security.
  3.  Mobile Apps Lifecycle, presented by Genefa Murphy, Director of Mobile Social and Analytics Products Unit, HP. Learn about the four key stages central to the mobile application lifecycle: design and build; optimize (which involves testing); distribution; and monitoring. Security touches each part of that lifecycle.
  4. Planning and Design Mobile Transformation, presentedby Paul Evans, Worldwide Lead, Application Transformation, HP. Why are enterprise mobile apps so important? Because the app has become the face of the organization. Your company’s reputation relies on the quality of your apps.
  5. Mobile Applications Management, presented by Dragan Milanovich, VP HP Web Services. Enterprise mobile apps present some interesting operational problems once you’ve built them. For instance: How do you do mass distribution? How do you manage your app after that distribution?
  6.  Mobile developers can transform corporate IT, presented by Mike Jennett, Senior Program Manager, Enterprise Mobility App Deployment, HP IT. Rather than giving users what IT needs and wants, IT must now satisfy user needs. How do you deliver legacy applications to mobile devices without frustrating end users happy or your developers?
  7. New innovations to enhance your apps, presented by Emily Ketchen, VP Worldwide Marketing, LES & Programs, Vice-Chair Mopria Alliance. What implications does mobility have for printing? Workers must be able to print documents from enterprise mobile apps, but for most people it’s neither easy nor intuitive.
  8. Leverage Big Data for your mobile apps, presented by Oded Ringer, Solution Marketing Manager, HP Enterprise Services CMS. Find out how you can create business value from the data that lets you offer more personalized pitches and products to subscribers.

The wave of enterprise mobile apps has only begun to crest. HP Anywhere mobile application development platform and HP Mobile Applications Services can help your company capitalize on that wave, for successful app development, deployment, and management.
