Our employees were inspired by phenomenal speakers, including Pam Carter of the HPE Board of Directors and Katie Goodman, an award-winning comedian, author, and motivational speaker.

Pam Carter was the first African American Attorney General in the United States.  She shared her amazing career journey and how she was inspired to make a difference by her grandfather.  Pam attained multiple degrees including a Juris Doctorate (JD),  led a large global manufacturing company, successfully balanced a career and motherhood and successfully battling breast cancer. She inspired us by sharing how like a lioness she has found a way to make a difference and along the way has made history.

Katie Goodman engaged our audience through sharing how we can innovate and create through working together. She utilized her background in improvisational comedy to provide exercises each of us can use to brainstorm and create solutions leveraging each other’s unique ideas.

Employees in Houston had the opportunity to take professional headshots, network with leaders from our local employee resource groups, make a difference by donating suits to Dress for Success, as well as share why they #sitwithme by sitting in the NCWIT red chair and sharing on social media why they advocate for women in technology as well as meet with our various wellness program partners.

Watch parties were held at HPE locations throughout the globe including Alpharetta, Georgia; Costa Rica and the Philippines.

From the Philippines, to Alpharetta to Costa Rica! From the Philippines, to Alpharetta to Costa Rica!

In the spirit of this year’s theme, “Better the balance, better the world,” we encourage you each to share how we #BalanceforBetter.
