4000 upgrade

i have a eva 4000 with 2c2d with M5314B disk enclosures. I want to add 2 nos of M5314C disk enclosure to upgrade to 2c4d. Also i want to convert the existing M5314B to M5314C by replacing the EMU and IO modules. Is the above is achievable ???

Re: 4000 upgrade

M5134C is only for EVA4100/6100/8100. You say your EVA is an EVA4000, so it should use M5314B.

The difference is in the I/O modules:

M5314B: 364549-005 and 364548-005
M5314C: 364549-009 and 364548-009

The EMU should be 375393-001 for an non-RoHS-compliant EVA or 375393-005 for a new EVA.

Re: 4000 upgrade

can i remove the existing io and emu module from m5314b disk enclosure and replace with m5314c disk enclosure ???

with this my existing m5314b enclosure will become m5314c. Is it possible to achieve this without loosing any config and data ??

Re: 4000 upgrade

Yes, you can replace the EMU and I/O modules on an enclosure and it becomes a M5314C. Data is not affected by this or the new controllers.
