81Q PCI-e HBA

Hi,

i wonder that no reseller/salesman could say me if the 81Q HBA is usable in non-HP Server. We thinking to buy a MSA 2000G3 Kit and i want to connect the existing server to the SAN.

Are the 81Q PCIe HBA usable in standard PCIe (8x) slots on non-HP Servers (Linux/Centos)?

generally it should work - if it is based on commnon industrial standards like PCIe...
