A physical disk drive or an Enclosure Link Module has reported a check condition error.

There is a event in CV controller events log of EVA P6300. Severity of the event is Normal. But the description is A physical disk drive or an Enclosure Link Module has reported a check condition error. The ditails as below.

What kind the error is?  Is it a normal error and I could ignore it at all?

Hi,

 

to find out which 'check condition' the drive is reporting you need to look up the sense key, asc and ascq in the event:

 

sense_key: 1 [0x01] - Byte 3

asq: 7 [0x07] - Byte 13
asc: 24 [0x18] - Byte 12

 

Then you go here: http://www.t10.org/lists/asc-num.htm

 

and try to decide if it's a bad event or not. It could just be that the drive is spinning up or something like that.

Unfortunately that page is now down and I don't have a copy.
