I have just added a second EVA, a EVA8400, to my environment which already had a EVA8100.
Both are managed by the same CommandView server. My question is, am I ok to create Hosts on the new EVA which already exist on the current EVA. So having them present on both and storage presented from both. I guess this is not an issue, but thought I'd check.
Regards,
Berd

SolutionAll access is WWN based, so each array and LUN has a unique WWN anyway.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Added second EVA to environment
However, if you might want to introduce Continuous EVA (remote replicate) at one later point, then it makes sense to use uniqe LUN addresses.
And it won't hurt if you do it anyway ;-)
