Adding M6612 Tray to EVA P6300

I want to add another shelf to our EVA 6300. We already have 2 existing M6612s that are fully populated. Is there a minimum number of disks that I must put in the new shelf for it to be recognized? I heard somewhere that you had to at least put 4 drives in the shelf.  I plan on adding the shelf offline.

on P6300 arrays there is no minimum specified for a disk enclosure. You can have a disk enclosre added with just one disk on it.
