Adding a second fibre switch to a P2000G3 dual controller setup
Hi All
I am currently using a P2000G3 fc/iscsi combo with the first ports on each controller cabled into an existing 4/8 switch. I've now provisioned a second 4/8 and would like to add this into the environment.
Can i just connect the second ports on each controller up to the device while running or do I need to arrange downtime/stop I/O etc?
I realise I then need to 'enable' the second ports for each volume mapping - again can this be done live or will i/o be interupted making this sort of change?
Thanks

Re: Adding a second fibre switch to a P2000G3 dual controller setup
Hi,
What are the operating systems connected?
Normally adding the switch in th environment can be done without any host io interruption.
Keep in mind that you need to:
- create zoning on the new switch;
- define the ports on the MSA;
- reconfigure the presentations;
- rescanning disks and ....
Kind regards,
Ruben
