Alert on disk failure
Hello,
Is there any way the system alerts me when a physical disk fails?
I know about the leds and without running any utility. I'm talking about desktop alerts or e-mail alerts.
Thank you in advance

Re: Alert on disk failure
I keep tapping on my crystal ball, but it seems to be out of order.
So I guess you will have to tell us:
What system are you talking about?
In the meantime: Look at SNMP traps.
Note: While I am an HPE Employee, all of my comments (whether noted or not), are my own and are not any official representation of the company

Re: Alert on disk failure
Oops.. common error :) sorry,
I have a AP788A (X1600 Storageworks) running Windows Storage Server 2008 x64.
I'll try your suggestion. Thank you.
