Hi all

Could anyone tell me if SIM can backup a fibre switch or do i need to purchase storage essentials or fabric manager?

Unless you have _lots_ of switches, I would just login to the switch and run the "configupload" command to put the data on a FTP server.

I just prepare the commands for each switch and save them in a .TXT file. The next time I log-in and do a simple cut&paste of the command.

SIM will not backup the switch config.

using Fabric Manager u can take switch config.

To backup switch config you donot need to spend lot of money, instead use

#configupload
