Bad disk in MSA 1000

Hello, I have not used a MSA 1000s. I need to replace a bad disk and received the new disk from HP. From what I see in forums, etc. it appears that I can just hot swap this bad drive. Can someone confirm that? Would appreciate any help. Thanks!

Yes, just replace the drive and it will spin up on RAID 1 or above. Watch it in case it fails. You might want to do firmware upgrades on your drives so they all match. Mismatched firmware can cause problems.

Thanks for the info. I have replaced the drive and it is still in a failed state.
