Minimum one M6412A per loop (so 3 per EVA)
Try to have the same amount of enclosures on each loop.
Insert the disks that will be on the same disk group vertically (one in each enclosure)
Common practice is to load high speed disks on the left bays and FATA disks on the right side, but it's not needed at all and you can choose any arrangement you like.
Another common advice is to load the center bays first, as they are the ones with the best ventilation, although I have not seen significant differences in temperature among the disks on an enclosure.
