Bug in Antemeta?

Hi,

Regarding this environment:
- AIX 5.3 TL8
- system boots from EVA5000
- Antemeta 2.2.3.3
- EVA5000 3.110

Before shutdown AIX, the script /usr/lpp/devices.fcp.hdi.pdisk/antemeta_check must be run. Afterwards, when I create a mksysb to DVD, the system will not boot from DVD (errorcode 0c10 on display ). Problem is solved when I restore the bootinfo executable. (which in turn is overruled at the next shutdown).

Is this a bug in Antemeta? How to solve this definitely?

TIA

Re: Bug in Antemeta?

You are not running the AIX 5.3 antemeta version. We had this problem and upgraded to the latest AIX 5.3 antemeta version and the problem was solved.

Re: Bug in Antemeta?

Gordon, thanks for your reply. I never heard from HP there is a higher level than 2.2.3.3 for "Antemeta pseudo subsystem disk" on AIX 5.3 . What is the latest level?

Hi,
maybe you could check it in SPOCK:

the pain is one part of the reality

Re: Bug in Antemeta?

Checked in SPOCK: Antemeta 2.2.3.3 is the latest version, so this version will not solve the bug.

Any idea?
