CA, VMWare, SRM, & Clustering

Our environment is currently a dual EVA 8400 (8km apart) using CA, running VMware (4 ESX Hosts) with SRM.

We are considering clustering an application server for additional resiliency.

Question: Is it better or just additional complexity to geocluster across the EVA's, or instead locally cluster with 2 VMs on the primary EVA (for application/OS protection) and let CA/SRM manage the environment failover if necessary?

With a fully replicated synchronous dual EVA environment, is it still necessary to geocluster as opposed to a local clustering for application reiliency?

Thanks
Steve
