CommandView SDM

All, I am trying to uninstall and reinstall COmmandView SDM on one of my HP-UX 11.11 Nclass servers.

I recieved a good amount of errors in the log when I tried to uninstall.

2 things. One does the uninstall and reinstall require a reboot? and two can someone look at this log and tell me if it is ok to mark the additional things for uninstallation that it is requesting? THANK YOU!

Re: CommandView SDM

Usually you need to uninstall

CMDVIEWSDM
HPOVLIC
HPOVSAMDA
HPOVSAMHA
HPOVSAMHB
HPOVSAMJR
HPOVSAMSG
SMI_S_VA
SSLIC

and remove

rm -fR /opt/sanmgr
rm -fR /etc/opt/sanmgr
rm -fR /var/opt/sanmgr

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: CommandView SDM

How will this affect the system?

meaning, once I install it again, will I have to reboot? Will those directories be re-created again on the new install. Do I need to backup my security file for my san?

Re: CommandView SDM

Save

/opt/sanmgr/commandview/server/config/PanConfigParams.txt
/opt/sanmgr/commandview/server/config/ContactInfo.txt
/opt/sanmgr/hostagent/config/access.dat
/opt/sanmgr/hostagent/config/commIpAddr.txt

Hope this helps!

Re: CommandView SDM

Save what I need?

That is what I am asking? Are all the files listed the ones I need to save to keep my configuration once I reinstall?

Command View.

I need to reinstall becasue we had a crash not long ago, and while trying to upgrade to 1.09 I get insane errors telling me I need to uninstall previous versions.
