Dear ITRC members
I have an environment as it appear in the attachment.
This environment includes the following:
1- HP Server rp4440 PN: A9950A
2- EMC Storage M/N : CX3-10C-FD
EMC Controller PN: 100-561-178 QTY: 2
Now I need to purchase FC HBA 2/2 for the rp4440 server, which must be compatible with the server as well as the EMC storage, however the server will be connected directly to the storage without SAN switch
Advice please with the right FC HBA PN

Re: Compatable FC-HBA with rp server & EMC Storage
Unfortunately I'm not able to send you the list of the supported HBAs since you did not specify the operating system running on your rp4440 server.
Since the storage should be supported from the storage vendor's site, not from the server vendor site, please refer to the following EMC support matrices to choose the supported HBAs by yourself:
http://www.emc.com/collateral/elab/emc-support-matrices.pdf . In the matrix "FC-AL" stands for "Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loop" (topology used for connecting a server to a storage directly without using a FC switch), "FC-SW" stands for a "Fiber Channel Switch".
I hope this helps you.
