Configuring TPC with HP EVA

I don't know anything about TPC.

But for a starter is it supported?

Does TPC ask for any settings done on the EVA?
What is it you want to do?
Like to create vdisks/LUNs?
With that I suppose you'll find some help here. Getting a specific list of things to do with an EVA under IBM TPC you would hopefully get more information from IBM..

HP EVA uses a web based tool called Command View to configure the array.

As this is an IBM product, you will have to check the IBM documentation how they interface to the EVA (management system). Most likely by SMI-S (good luck).

Thanks for your reply.

We have TPC installed and to connect the EVA management server to it, SMI-S EVA is installed and added user using Cimuser. Added as a client in the TPC CIMOM. After running discovery still the storage is not displayed in managed storage list.
I felt missed some other steps, let me know if you can help me on this...

Please verify if commandview is unable to see & manage EVA. If this works fine, you should take further help from IBM folks.

HP SIM has a tool wbemdisco - does this come with your SMI-S install? If you do you can use this to further test if you can communicate with the EVA.

SMI-S is installed from Command View CD, but I am unable to find wbemdisco

hmm.. shoot. I don't remember where it was located. But probably then it doesn't come with CV but with HP SIM.

Right, it comes with HPSIM, but it's use is documented in the "HP Insight Remote Support Advanced Vn.n Managed Systems Guide". IRSA is the call-home service solution that plugs into HPSIM.

C:\Program Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager>wbemdisco IP-addr 5989 interop username password

You can also just run:
> wbemdisco.cmd
