Connect new Brocade 8G switch to existing EVA switch

Hi guys, I have a new HP c7000 which has 2 x Brocade 8GB switches.
I need to configure and connect these to an the existing 2 x EVA 4100 storageworks switches.
In the past our old blades connected directly to the EVA switches using pass-through but now there is an additional layer with the Brocades also being switches.

Should I use the access gateway option on the brocades?

There is a bunch of doco out there but I don't really know where to start as Im not very experienced with san switches/fabrics.

If someone could point me to an example or best doco to start on I can take it from there.

Thanks.

hello,
conection depends on some options.
- If you have full Fabric licence inside new brocades, use it an cascade your SAN.
- If not, your only option is to use Acess Gateway.
- Do not forget install latest fabric OS first for all switches to ensure compatibility.
- good starting point for all SAN related things is at http://h18006.www1.hp.com/storage/networking/index.html - for example very good San Design Guide.
