Continuous Access VMFS5 volume replication problem between HP P6300 and EVA4000
Hi all,
I have some problems with HP Continuous Access VMF5 volume replication between an P6300 and EVA4000 :
1st test:
Replication of a Windows volume and Failover of the same server on the EVA4000 -> OK
Second test:
Replication of a VMWARE 5.0 Update 1 VMFS5 (100 GB) volume. Failover on the EVA 4000, presentation of the volume to the same VMWARE server, re-signing the volume-> Message "A general system error occurred: Timed-out while waiting to get datastore information from host".
Unable to mount the volume on the VMWARE server. the volume appears to be unreadable.
The Only solution is , reformatting the volume!
Third test:
Snapshot of a VMWARE 5.0 Update 1 VMFS5 volume create on the P6300. Presentation of the volume to the same VMWARE server. Re-signing the volume and mounting-> OK
Fourth test:
Create a VMWARE 5.0 Update 1 VMFS5 on the EVA4000 volume. Replicate the volume on the P6300. Failover, presentation of the volume to the same server VMWARE, re-signing of the volume-> OK
So :
If a VMWARE 5.0 Update 1 VMFS5 volume is created on the P6300 and replicated on the EVA4000, it is impossible to access to the replicate volume in case of Failover.
If a VMWARE 5.0 Update 1 VMFS5 volume is created on the EVA4000 and replicated on the P6300, it is possible to access the replicate volume in case of Failover.
Does anyone have an idea about this problem ?
