There is big problem in our site.please help me as soon as possible.
we have a HP EVA3000 STORAGE with 2 controllers and 4 enclusure. The version of Command View is 3.1 bulid 21.
There is a projext in our site to reconfigure EVA after 7 years use.
We have upgrade HSV100 firmware controller from VCS 3 to VCS 4 (active -active) version. after upgrade controllers show " no storage" on screen , and in coomand view no storage is detected.
Is there anyway to downgrade controller firmware to old version without command view interface?
Thanks for your kind and quick response.
Regards
ASHKAN

Re: EVA 3000 UPGRADE PROBLEM
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01276879.pdf
After upgrade you need to restart the Command View service.
If that doesn't help:
"Downgrading while retaining existing data is supported from VCS 4.100 to any earlier version of
VCS 4.00x firmware.
Downgrading while retaining existing data from VCS 4.100 to any earlier version of VCS 3.xxx firmware
is not supported. Downgrade is only possible on an uninitialized storage system."
Did you upgrade CV too?
Latest CV (10.2) supports VCS 4.100 - check out the compatibility reference: http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02523047/c02523047.pdf

Re: EVA 3000 UPGRADE PROBLEM
See this topic: http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Disk-Array/EVA5000-VCS-4-x-3-x-Downgrade/td-p/4436033
EVA3000 and 5000 are very similar.

Re: EVA 3000 UPGRADE PROBLEM
SSSU is part of CV.
If that doesn't work either:
You could install a newer CV on another server - it comes with a free temporary licenses - and try to downgrade with that.

Re: EVA 3000 UPGRADE PROBLEM
https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=P6000_CV
Get 9.4, 10.x does not support EVA3000.
