How to upgarde Firmware in EVA 4000/6000.
corrent Version 6000 and command view V 6.0
OS windows server 2003

From firmware 6000 you can update to 6100 or 6200.
Firmware 6200 needs Command View 8.

From Command View, select the EVA, press "Code load" and browse to where the .sss file is.

Command View 7 and 8 require the licenses to be regerated on a new format.
You should already have the Command View / Bussiness Copy / Continous Access licenses. You can generate new ones in webware.hp.com, or contact your sales representative in HP.

That does not work for old CV-EVA licenses, because the papers did not include any order numbers. HP had to create special numbers for the migration.

I *strongly* recommend that you make sure you have *all* license keys present (not just the ordernumber - really *do* the fulfilment) before you start the upgrade.

I have seen customers where the process went, err, "suboptimal" - the instant-on license expired and he was without keys!!

Listen to UWE! I have seen the same thing. Get all the keys first. Some times this process doesnt proceed as we would like.

Yes, an important one: if you 'upgrade' from CV-EVA V6 you do need to uninstall the old version and reboot before you install V8.

How to regenerate C V 8.0 license because we have paper base CV 6.0 only and only part number of this. no email address and password.
