I have an SAN HP EVA 4400. When i get into the Controllers Properties at the command view, the ports speed apears as Unknown Gb/s.
At the San Switches web interface (Brocade switches) the ports apears as 4 Gb/s.
What can i do the solve this situation. to display the correct speed at the command View.
Best regards,
Bye

Re: EVA 4400 - Unknown Gb/s
I restarted both controllers on my DR EVA a couple weeks ago but they still show as Unknown.

Re: EVA 4400 - Unknown Gb/s
But as Uwe says, is just one of many Command View display problems, not a real failure.

Re: EVA 4400 - Unknown Gb/s
If it still really bothers you then just pull out the host port cable at the eva end (one at a time) wait a few seconds and then put the cable back in. You should now see the correct speed. Remember that if you do this you will be simulating a "failure" and so Vdisks may be moved around etc
So really, as above...

Re: EVA 4400 - Unknown Gb/s
I found the answer in another post.
Just change the speed of the ports at the san switches to 4GB (Not Negotiate)
That change the status of the ports at the command view to 4GB/s
Hope this help

Re: EVA 4400 - Unknown Gb/s
Scroll a bit up ;-)
""lock the switch port to 4 GigaBits""
