EVA 4400 leveling too slow
Hi.
We have an EVA 4400. One of the 1TB disks failed. We replaced it 1 week ago. However, the leveling progress is 32% so far. EVA occupancy is 93%.
We need to make some stress tests that required hundreds of transactions against DBs stored on the EVA.
Should we wait until the leveling is completed? is there technical information that talks about the leveling best practices?
Thanks.
P.S. This thread ahs been moved from Disk, Disk Arrays (Retired Discussion Board) to Storage Area Networks (SAN) (Enterprise). - Hp Forum Moderator

Re: EVA 4400 leveling too slow
Hello,
Leveling is an internal process and has very low priority. Having a busy array serving hosts will definitely slow down leveling. More details about various best practices for EVA is avaiable in below HP whitepaper.
