EVA 4400 upgrade help
Hi,
I have a HP EVA 4400
Controller model: HSV300
XCS version: 09522000
XCS build: CR153Flep
Management firmware: mmp-0001.4000-CR05B2
Soon, I will be moving our data to a different SAN and re-configuring this SAN, basically starting from scratch.
I would like to get the managment module, XCS, drive firmwares and EVA software up to date.
I have access to software downloads for a short time, but our maintenance agreement will end very soon. Could someone please help me lay out a plan of what to do, and in what order?

Re: EVA 4400 upgrade help
Wow, thanks man. Am I able to go straight to 10.3/11200000 from what I have now?
My understanding was I would have to go to CV 9.4 or something, then 10, then 10.2 (I havent seen 10.3 mentioned before)

Re: EVA 4400 upgrade help
For XCS first go to 10001000, then to 11200000.

Read the product upgrade guide and release notes first, please.
Finally update disks and management module.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: EVA 4400 upgrade help
I believe the management module is an embedded linux system, and I dont have any information in connecting to it directly, the only access I have is through the web interface CommandView.

Re: EVA 4400 upgrade help
Open a browser on the computer that is connected through
Ethernet to the management module. Enter the following URL to
access HP Command View EVA on the management module:
https://192.168.0.1:2372 (this is the default IP address of
the management module after a reset).
Enter admin as the user name and no password (the password
ямБeld is empty).
