Re: EVA 4400 (xcs 09501000)

Check compatibility here:

http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01804529/c01804529.pdf

CV 9.1 is not compatible with XCS 09004000 for example.

This version solves the problems with javawrapper.exe taking a high CPU %, incorrect capacity reporting and several information display problems.

Re: EVA 4400 (xcs 09501000)

thank you for clarification and correction :-) I didn't know, that some XCS are not supported (strange, because even very old like VCS3.1x are supported)

Re: EVA 4400 (xcs 09501000)

One thing to note CV 9.1 is not supported if using Data Protector 6, I presume that would only matter if using the ZDB integration.

That's me out upgrading then.

Re: EVA 4400 (xcs 09501000)

I just used SSEVA 3.1 and installed CMDVIEW 9.1 on an EVA running:

... XCS version: 09001000
... XCS build: CR10EAlep
... Management firmware: 1.00.00.080211

and it appears to be working fine.
It's not yet implemented, though,
and my next step is updating WOCP + XCS.
Where can I get
... XCS09501400
and latest WOCP firmware

Re: EVA 4400 (xcs 09501000)

I found the WOCP firmware in the 9.1 CMDVIEW downloads.
I'm assuming that it's 1.2.1, but I can't tell.

But XCS seems to have been removed from the software depot for some reason.

Bugs, very ugly bugs.
Do not attempt to upgrade to any 09.50.x releases that have been available for some time. Even a 'standard' HP technican is not allowed to do that.

Re: EVA 4400 (xcs 09501000)

Bob, you're yourself in a situation difficult to explain to customers.

XCS 09001000 is out of support since January 31th.

BUT there are NO other firmware for the EVA4400 publicy available for download. There have been some attempts to release one like 09001000 and 09001100, but they were removed after a few weeks due to several issues seen in several customers.

Currently there's a new version in the works, but no definitive release date yet.

If you update management module firmware you need also to update XCS to at least 09006000, but I would ask HP for an official supportability statement before proceeding.

XCS 09006000 is here:
