Re: EVA 6100 - Controller detected only one port of a FC device
Hi,
it is not a good idea to regroup the suspicious drive because thus you are rising the potential for the double disk failure.

the pain is one part of the reality

Re: EVA 6100 - Controller detected only one port of a FC device
IBaltry,
You made a good point. In other arrays I've reseated defunct drives. Most of the time they rebuild and continue to work fine to this day. If they fail a second time I replace the drive. But you are correct in that I'm leaving myself open for a double drive failure and in my case with RAID 5 no hot spare that would really hose me. Sometimes I just find myself between a rock and a hard spot.
