EVA 8000 (HSV210) Export Disk Sizes

I want to export a bunch of data about the eva. I want to generate some documents about Disk Groups and Virtual Disks. Instead of using the GUI and manually transfering to documenation I want to automate the process.

So can I export data via command line or some other method? For example can I export a list of the Disk Group Names, Total Size, Free Space, Disks utilized, etc. Can I do this for Vdisks, etc Is there any way to export this information?

SSSU is worth looking at.

Check out the doc attached in this posting...

Re: EVA 8000 (HSV210) Export Disk Sizes

Can anyone provide a link to the SSSU? All the links I find on the forums are "page not found".

When I run it says version 6.0.2. But it prompts for manager, user, password. What is manager? I cant seem to find any sssu guides online.

Thanks.

Re: EVA 8000 (HSV210) Export Disk Sizes

There is a scripting reference guide here:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManualтМй=en&cc=us&docIndexId=179111&taskId=101&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=471497

What you want to put in is:

IP (or localhost)
then your login details for Command View.

As i said, the guide is in that list as an attachment in one of the posts. The links are dead as you've found out.

Re: EVA 8000 (HSV210) Export Disk Sizes

Those links are driven through a database-backend which is not reliable 24 hours a day. PERIOD.

Unfortunately, the programmer(s) did not implement proper error handling and so you might see a stupid message like: "sorry, we did not find what you were looking for!

Retry the link after a few minutes, hours or a day later and the content might come up.

I had one case where I needed four (4!) reloads and then a specific customer advisory turned up, although the 'web software' was claiming 3 times it did not exist.

Re: EVA 8000 (HSV210) Export Disk Sizes

I think the SSSU command "CAPTURE CONFIGURATION" would do what you are looking for. It backs up the config so the array can be recreated after a reinitialization (metadata only - no data).
