Re: EVA 8100 Disk monitoring parameter

Hello,
for monitoring EVA there is evaperf software which comes as integral part of Command View software (currently 9.3 version)
Evaperf is command line utility, show live performance and has many options.

just an example:
"evaperf vdg -cont 3 " wil show virtuall disk group performance statistics for all available arrays, updated each 3 seconds.

Try and play with it for a while...

Re: EVA 8100 Disk monitoring parameter

EVA perf will provide real time values?
does 8100 support command view 9.3?
what is the standard disk queue lenth size for 8100 to be consider in eva perf?

Re: EVA 8100 Disk monitoring parameter

1) yes, evaperf provides real time values?

2) yes, it supports eva 8100, BUT it depends on firmware version. Consider upgrade to latest 6220 firmware if you don't have it...
AND be carefull in upgrading CV - there is significant licence change between CV6x and higher and you must bu under support to get new licences...

3) "what is the standard disk queue lenth size for 8100 to be consider in eva perf?" - generally lower queue means better performance, but have on mind all hardware could be overwhelmed by "good programing skill" of men behind... :)
