EVA CA Fan-in/Fan-out

What is the limit on the number of arrays that an EVA5000 with VCS 4.007 can act as a source for? Is it just 2?

What is the limit on the number of arrays that an EVA8100 with XCS 6.200 can act as a destination for? Is it just 2?

i.e. only 2-dests per array?

I am having trouble migrating my data off an EVA5K (I get an error, don't have it with me) when I try to do:

some-data goes from "A" to "B"
some-data goes from "A" to "C"
some-data goes from "A" to "D"

where A is a 5K/4007 and C,D are 8.1K/6.2

Thanks ahead of time. Googling gives quickspecs that kinda say "2" fan-in/fan-out, but I am not sure if that is a hard-limit or a best-practice.

Re: EVA CA Fan-in/Fan-out

The error I get is:

"The storage system has reached its maximum number of DR relationship" when I try to create the 3rd DR group. Each group has only a few small luns in it.

Re: EVA CA Fan-in/Fan-out

It's on the "HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array compatibility reference".

Replication relationships
VCS 3.1xx 2:1
VCS 4.1xx 2:1
XCS 6.1xx 2:1
XCS 6.2xx 3:1
XCS 09004000 3:1
XCS 09006000 3:1
XCS 09501x00 4:1

4:1 is only supported when the source of the FAN-out or the target of the FAN-in is a high-end array, which is an array with 4 host ports per controller or 8 host ports per array.
