Have a strange Question:
1 Last month, we upgraded a EVA4000(online), adding on 1 disk enclosure with 14 disks. No problem(CAB is 3).
2 This week we did the same thing on the same EVA4000. Not Succeed! The disk enclosure can be added normally without any disks in it(CAB is 4 this time, the Command View cannot see it). But when we insert disk into the enclosure, the command view will find the disk in "Unmappable Hardware" and then later other normally used disks all also become unmappable hardware.
The command view are upgrade to 9.2.
Thanks a lot for your reply.

Re: EVA Disk Enclousre Upgrade Problem
Thank Uwe for your so quick reply.
I did not wait for so long time since it seemed dangerous that online disks also became "unmappable hardware". Will it do hard to the data when we online upgrade the enclousure and disks? Some warning or error messages were found in /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log.

Re: EVA Disk Enclousre Upgrade Problem
The problem was solved.
We waited about 15 minutes or even more. Finally the disks/enclosure were normal and it did no harm to the online data.
