EVA P6350 HP MPIO DSM on Windows Server 2012 R2

Hello, all!

Has anyone encountered with HP MPIO DSM 4.03 compatibility issues on Windows Server 2012 R2?

In particular, whether correctly works off link failover.

In official manual compatibility is only for Windows Server 2012

Hi,

from practical side I can tell you that DSM 4.03 even on WS2012 (when used in Hyper-V Cluster) is a mess. We spend hours to get this running stable, on the end we uninstalled both HP driver for FC HBA (82Q) and DSM 4.03 and use now the MS components - system is running smooth now.

Markus,

We're having a similar issue and while I have installed the native Windows Server 2012 MPIO and "DSM for P6x00 Kit v4.03", which used to be the proper method, it sounds from your reply that there is a Microsoft alternative for the DSM.  Is that the case?  Thank you.

Uninstalling the EVA DSM seems to have resolved the issue. Fortunately we recently moved from our EVA to a shiny new 3PAR so the DSM is not needed on these servers.

It indicates Bugcheck 3B can be caused by the HP storage driver: hpeaadsm.sys

Good luck...
