EVA Performance check

Hi all,

Any one please tell me how can be check the performance of EVA.

One desktop system is getting only 40MBps speed while reading and writing to EVA.

Desktop has Gigabit LAN card.

Thanks
Bhola

Re: EVA Performance check

So I assume you're connecting through iSCSI. You have several factors here:

- RAW maximum performance possible on the EVA, that depends on the number of disks, if they are FATA, 10K or 15K, if the vdisk is vRAID 1 or vRAID 5
- Traffic on the LAN that you use to access the iSCSI router
- Drivers of the LAN card

You can use the counters EVAperf installs on the Windows performance monitor to check the links and vdisks for throughput and latencies. Open Windows perfmon.exe on the Command View server and look at the performance counters from HP.
