EVA Platform Kit for Windows / RHEL4 / HPUX

I have been trying to get the latest platform kits from HP but they are taking some time to get back to me.

Anyone knows where to download the platform kits? Thanks.

Hi Winston,

What EVA model do you have?

Platform kit only exists on EVA3000 / EVA5000

For Linux:

Hence are you saying that HP no longer provide users with the platform kit, in other words we have to check and comply to the requirements on connectivity guide to ensure that EVA and host work properly? :(

Yes,

You have to check al the requirements in the connectivity guides for each OS.

Re: EVA Platform Kit for Windows / RHEL4 / HPUX

Actually I already have this doc, just wondering what happended to the platform kit that I used last time.

By the way, I am using Dell servers with QLA2312 FC daughter card, HP Asiapac says that this card is not supported, any ideas whether this card will work even if its not stated in the CONFIG GUIDE?

Thanks for you help :)

If you don't follow this guides then you will not have a supported config.

Re: EVA Platform Kit for Windows / RHEL4 / HPUX

Winston,

Platform Kit is a thing of past. It is replaced by Connectivity Streams for various OS flavours - basically contains info on the requisite hardware, driver, firmware, boot bios version compatibility matrix.

All you need to do is follow the appropriate connectivity stream readily available from hp.com and just make sure that your hardware and software setup is right to go ahead with the EVA in question...this approach applies equally and not to a particular model of EVA!

The FCA model you are quoting is perhaps from the output of Linux level "lspci" command? The output of this command does not state the HP Card Model, but the card you mention to my recollection is HP's model FCA2214 which is a fully supported card.
