Im looking to get some more disk for our EVA5000 and our EVA800's. I want to calculate the number of vraid1/5/0 we can obtain based on the number of extra disks we purchase.
Does someone have a spreadsheet or tool that you can plug in your existing configuration or new number of drives to get these results?
thanks
Craig

Re: EVA Space Calculation Tools
I personally use HP StorageWorks Sizing Tool for this task
Download it from
http://h30144.www3.hp.com/
then install, run & go to Storage Calculators / Launch EVA...
Rgds.

Re: EVA Space Calculation Tools
That link (http://h30144.www3.hp.com/) does not seem to work? Do you have a direct link to this tool?
thanks

Re: EVA Space Calculation Tools
http://www.hp.com/go/nsssizer
Note that in the preferences you can set whether 1k = 1000Bytes or = 1024Bytes which can make a difference.
If you want to know what your servre will se use 1024, if you want to compare to other vendors capacities use 1000 (this is the vaule used for offerings and datasheets!!)
Cheers
Peter

Re: EVA Space Calculation Tools
If someone still needs calculations for EVA, I've made a simple online calculator.
