EVA connection

Hello

i have connected EVA4100 to hosts directly without san switch long time back (each server connected to each controller).
now we need to put two san switches, what will happen to the presented LUNs?
Disk IDs will be the same?

please help

it is Windows.

but please let us know whether it was HPUX , Linux or windows.

it will not problem for windows since windows look device header to find disks.

but if you are using hp-ux 11.23 or older version , your device address will change. for hpux 11.31 it will not be a problem since disks address are related to disk wwn addresses.

for linux, disk are numbered according to lun numbers . ie lun1 wil be /dev/sda lun2 will be /dev/sdb and so on.
