EVA

Hi,

On a daily basis I check the event logs on HP EVA 4400, in the management logs for the server I get to see the following

"Parsefile for current firmware version not found. Upload correct parse file. CR153F"

EVA is healthy and funtioning normal.

is this error or just an another event?
How to fix it?

Thanks,
Kites

Re: EVA

You need to load this information from sss file into command view. What firmware is running?

Hope this helps!

Re: EVA

You need to put this parse (HSV300_event_CR153F_09522000.txt) file through command view eva, using the send parse file button in the view controller events.

Note: unpack it first.

Re: EVA

CR153F means 09522000

Get the parse file from the firmware download

http://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=T4256-63129

Or from the attached file

Select the EVA, go to view events, controller event log. Press "Send parse file", give it the TXT or SSS file.

Re: EVA

Would sending the parse file to the controller will cause any disruptions or damage to the system?

Any outage needed to do so?

Re: EVA

No, it is not even sent to the controller. It is processed by the Command View service and stored on the CV management server.
(I've done multiple times, already)

Re: EVA

The file is like a dictionary used by commandview "translating" codes to text.

Hope this helps!
