EVA3000 reports free diskspace incorrectly
I have recently bought a EVA3000 system.
There are currently no vdisks on it but yet it show that more of 90% of the space is used, how does this come?
And how can I fix it?
Secondly, I'm still on command view 6, is it possible to upgrade and to what version?
Thank you,
Bjorn

Re: EVA3000 reports free diskspace incorrectly
If the EVA is "new" to your environment, your best bet is probably to un-initialize it, correct any cabling or disk/shelf issues and then re-initialize it.
Without actually "seeing" what is going on with the unit... the first thing I'd probably do is restart the Command View service or the Command View Server.
If that does not help, then restart the EVA.
Try that and report back.

Re: EVA3000 reports free diskspace incorrectly
It is possible to upgrade to a later CV. You can't however use the same license from CV6 as in the later versions. You'll need to contact HP to get the new license, maybe http://webware.hp.com can be of assistance.
You can find VCS and CV downloads on http://software.hp.com

Re: EVA3000 reports free diskspace incorrectly
I agree....I had a similar issue for which resynch both controllers should resolve issue.

Re: EVA3000 reports free diskspace incorrectly
This is a known issue in old CV EVA vesrions
Controllers can be recync for this or install latest CV EVA version
Or contact HP support to get some patch to be installed for some versions, better go for latest EVA versions
